FAQ

Short answers to the questions we get most. For step-by-step help, see the other docs sections.

#Setup

Do I need to edit any Lua files?
No. You set a couple of convars in server.cfg and configure everything else from the panel. Don’t edit the resource’s files - auto-update would overwrite them.
Is my server key baked into the download?
No. The download is the same package for everyone. Your credentials live in server.cfg via ac_server_id and ac_api_key. See Installation.
What do I do with the HMAC Secret?
Keep it somewhere safe. The panel uses it to authenticate your server automatically - you don’t put it in server.cfg.
Does twisteAC require VORP?
It’s built for VORP servers and several economy/framework detections rely on it. Run it after vorp_core.

#Running it

observe vs enforce - which should I use?
Start in observe to calibrate without risk, then switch to enforce once you trust the signal. See Configuration.
Will it kick my admins for flying or teleporting?
Not if they’re exempt. Anyone in group.admin / group.moderator is auto-exempt, or you can exempt specific players by Steam hex from the panel.
Do I need to restart to change detection settings?
No. Module settings deployed from the panel hot-reload in ~3 seconds. Only server.cfg changes (credentials, mode, load order) need a restart.
How do updates work?
Automatically. twiste_AC checks hourly, downloads new versions to disk, and applies them on your next restart. No permissions or action required.
Can I run twisteAC on more than one server?
Yes - create each server on Servers to get its own keys, depending on your plan. Stats can be compared side by side.

#Investigations

What’s the difference between an alert, a case and a sanction?
An alert is a single detection. A case groups alerts (and players) into an investigation. A sanction (warn/kick/ban) is the action you take.
What is an expert review?
From a case you can ask our team to review the evidence and return a verdict - confirmed cheater or legitimate player. Target handling is ~48h depending on how complete the evidence is.
A detection looks like a false positive - what now?
Mark it false-positive (useful tuning signal), and if a whole rule is noisy, loosen that module in the panel and observe. See Troubleshooting.

#Billing

How do I cancel?
From Profile → manage subscription → confirm in the Stripe portal. You keep access until the end of the paid period.
I paid but I’m still inactive.
Give it a moment and refresh Profile. If it persists, contact support with the timestamp and your account email.
